 Daughter of Indian immigrant scientists, Tehmina Khan is a  community-based poet who has lived in San Francisco for twenty-five years.  She has spent her entire adult life teaching, writing, mothering, and resisting. Her work has appeared in multiple journals and anthologies including Poets 11, OccuPoetry, Forum CCSF, Civil Liberties United, Muslim Writers at Home, and The City is Already Speaking. She teaches English and Poetry for the People at City College of San Francisco, where she defends everyone's right to a quality education.
